THINGS TO DO
Hit the beach: Playa Cerritos is the best beach for swimming and snorkeling. For solitude, sunning, strolling, and shell collecting, pitch an umbrella into the sand at San Pedrito or Punta Lobos, but be careful swimming at these beaches, as the undertow is strong. Between Pescadero and Punta Lobos, you’ll find Playa Las Palmas (a.k.a. Playa San Pedro) as another option. For those willing to go a bit further, Playa La Pastora is a favorite amongst locals for its untouched feel.
Go surfing: There is great surfing in Baja. At Playa Cerritos, the waves are diverse enough for surfers of all abilities. Beginners will feel comfortable at Los Cerritos, and you'll find many opportunities to rent a board or book a lesson.
Take a hike: There is a wide range of hikes in Todos Santos, some of which come with epic views. The hike to Punta Lobos is one of the most popular. We’d recommend an early start, sunscreen, and plenty of water (follow the map on the AllTrails app). Sierra de la Laguna hiking trails are also popular.
Shop downtown: Take a stroll downtown, which is full of hidden gems and fun shops to explore. Some of our favorite shops in Todos Santos are Saguaro, Étnica, Corazón Nativo, Nomad Chic, Bésame Mucho Bazar, and Zócalo. While downtown, don’t miss sights like Plaza Centro, Iglesia Mision Todos Santos, the iconic Hotel California, and Cielito Lindo Market.
Eat good food: In Todos Santos, you will eat very very well. Here are some of our favorites:
The Green Room
Oystera
il Giardino
Tre Galline
Mejibó
DŪM
Sip local coffee: There’s nothing better than a cup of coffee on vacation. Here are some of our favorite coffee shops in the area:
Las Tunas
Docecuarenta
Taller 17
Agricole
El Icónico Café
Take a yoga class: Todos Santos is known for its yoga retreats. While you probably won’t have time for a retreat, you can always take a class at a local studio.
Book an adventure tour: There is much to explore across the varying terrain of Todos Santos with local adventure tours, including ATV rentals, UTV side-by-side off road excursions, dirt bike tours, and horseback riding tours.
TRANSPORTATION
If you want to enjoy the beaches, hikes, cafes and other Todos Santos activities, having a car is your best bet. There aren’t any car rental agencies in Todos Santos itself, so we recommend renting a car at the airport. Alternatively, hotels and restaurants can call taxis for you.
